The Fill the Fund campaign is a global civil society initiative dedicated to mobilizing adequate, equitable, and grant-based climate finance for addressing loss and damage in vulnerable communities and countries. The campaign coordinates international advocacy, coalition mobilization, and policy pressure targeting key decision-makers, the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD), and international climate finance processes.
Role Overview
The Campaign Associate will provide hands-on operational, research, communications, and coordination support to ensure the smooth execution of global campaign activities. Working closely with the campaign leadership team, the Associate will help coordinate partner organizations, build the network, monitor critical policy developments, support campaign communications, and manage administrative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Coordination

Maintain the master campaign calendar, tracking actions and advocacy deadlines, global climate negotiation milestones, and coalition deliverables. Work closely with the internal team to make sure agreed actions are delivered on time.

Coordinate logistics for internal meetings, campaign meetings with network members, coalition working groups, and webinars across multiple time zones.

Draft internal updates, meeting notes, agendas, and follow-up action trackers for campaign working groups.

Coordinate joint sign-on letters, public statements, and campaign submission processes among global civil society partners.
2. Network & Partner Engagement

Act as a reliable focal point for partner organizations and allied civil society networks.

Maintain and update coalition contact lists, mailing lists, and engagement trackers.

Assist in onboarding new endorsing organizations and responding to partner queries.

Monitor partner and allied network activities to identify opportunities for collaboration, amplification, and advocacy.

Facilitate information-sharing across coalition channels to ensure aligned messaging and timely mobilization.
3. Research, Policy and Comms Support

Track policy developments, announcements, institutional decisions, and board meetings related to the (FRLD and broader climate finance mechanisms.

Compile background research, data points, and policy briefs to support campaign strategy, op-eds, and advocacy interventions.

Monitor global media and partner communications for campaign-relevant news and policy announcements.

Support mapping of relevant CSOs, researchers, funders, media and other strategic stakeholders

Synthesize technical reports and civil society inputs into accessible briefing notes and summaries.

Draft social media posts for campaign channels (e.g., X/Twitter, BluSky, LinkedIn, Instagram etc), translating policy updates, research findings, and key campaign moments (such as FRLD Board meetings and COP milestones) into clear, engaging content, support posting across channels.

Support the maintenance of a social media content calendar and prepare social media toolkits for partner amplification, in coordination with the campaign leadership team.

Harvest social media and website analytics.

Support the preparation of rapid-response materials, including talking points, social media content, briefing notes and statements in response to significant policy developments
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 1–3 years of active experience supporting advocacy, campaigning, communications or policy initiatives focused on climate change or environmental justice. Experience working with or alongside international NGOs, global networks, or coalitions is strongly preferred.

Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of international climate governance (UNFCCC), climate justice concepts, and global climate finance architecture (particularly Loss and Damage).
Skills: -
Strong project management and organizational capabilities with sharp attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (drafting briefings, professional correspondence, meeting documentation, and social media posts).

Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content tools (e.g., Canva) is an advantage.

Proficiency in standard digital collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack/Signal, and spreadsheet tracking).

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Noida, India for full-time, in-person work.
